This book is for younger children, to teach them to talk to their parents about what is happening in their lives.  Parents need to know where their children are and when they will return.  As with Tommy, he runs away from his problems instead of talking to mom and dad.  Hopefully, this book will have an impact on children and they will talk to their parents about what is bothering them.  Even though they may be little they still need to have that assurance that their parents or guardian will be there for them.
